Most places around the area are fully booked during this period and we have already started receiving enquiries from visitors to the event – just hope it’s not cancelled like last year due to the bad weather.

The Bath Christmas Market
Oak House No.1 is only 35 mins away from Bath,so why not have an evening out browsing the Christmas Market between the Roman Baths and Bath Abbey,a special setting.There are more than 100 wooden chalets selling Christmas items,food and drink and hand crafted goods. Carol singers and strolling players provide the festive fun – a magical place.

The Enchanted Christmas at Westonbirt Arboretum
Many local people told me more than once to visit the 'Enchanted Christmas' at Westonbirt Arboretum and despite being only 5 minutes away I didn't think it my sort of thing.
I was wrong it's awesome.I spent a couple of hours ther a year ago and was blown away,its like stepping into Narnia,beams of coloured light pick out the trees and light up the walkways through the woods,all very atmospheric and Christmassy.

Celebrity at Oak House No.1
Over the years we have had many a famous individual staying with us,most recently JB fom the boy band JLS,a very nice guy.We pride ourselves on discretion so I won't say any more except that tongues were wagging apparently in Tetbury.
Glad to see that the totally brilliant Tim Minchin was offered the lead role in Andrew Lloyd Webber's Jesus Christ Superstar.Tim and his wife Sarah stayed with us for a couple of days,a great bloke and a real 'Super star'
Prince Charles and Camilla
Charles and Camilla are to turn on the Tetbury lights this year on Friday 7th Dec at 6 pm.
Souldn't be too much of a hike as HRH lives but 5 mins outside the town at Highgrove House and is a regular visitor.Camilla is the Chairwoman of the Tetbury WI so she is often in town.This should be a fun evening,the streets will be shut off and there is a torchlight street procession led by Santa, carol singers, stalls and bands.
